i was referring to the choice of "bio diesel" at the pump. It is very difficult to find bio diesel pumps in cleveland area, majority of the u.s. for that matter, free market in that choices are available, present alterntives for consumers, rather than simply what the lobbyist's made available. Yes, the prices are indeed great compared to the U.S. and your rough calculation is a little low, sometimes for example in the netherlands the prices come to around 8 uSdollars a gallon.
In Oberlin, Ohio a bio diesel program is underway to bring this alternative to consumers on a local level. I am not sure of the rest of the U.S., but I know it is hard to find the alternative most of time to octane 87,89,93 or normal diesel at most filling stations.
