Happy Easter! Spring is Finally here

Hello. What to say. So much occurring world wide and where does it all fit in on the day to day operation?
Some might say, get a family and stop thinking about all this stuff. Just "get it done" was a slogan I heard a while ago, which I carry on at my work now.
So, get it done, right, I travel. I like to do that. So check out this pic from Trier, Germany

Trier was the location in the land "north of the alps" that the Romans decided to make a fort or an outpost. Port Nigra i think it is called is the landmark in Trier that is testament to the Latin/Roman presence in this part of Germany.

I have wanted to visit Trier for quite some time, but one of the reasons I went this weekend was because I wanted to buy some Mosel Valley Wine.
I didn't try it yet, but I will let you know.

That was my Easter Sunday, following mass of course in Maastricht.

Anyway all is good. My parents made it home to Cleveland safely and now I prepare for my friend Tom to visit.
We are planning a mountain bike ride in the Ardennes with a work group. Should be great!!
Best wishes and keep drinking

Later that night, put the parents to bed. Daan and I went out in Eindhoven and met Bride to be Jess and her one of her bridesmaids at the Tipsy Duck, a pub on Stratumseind, the pub street in Eindhoven. Thought I would snap this pic.

And I still made it to Palm Sunday Mass this morning.

Liege and Fort ChaudFontaine "adventure"

While I sit here in an attempt to manage my photos reducing hard drive space burning .jpg's to cd. I look outside and at the big puffy clouds pasing by. "Beetje slecht weer vandag" little bad weather today... However the sun is shining occasionally, that makes for a cool view.
Yesterday, wandered around in Liege and in the "buurt" of Liege and then to Maastricht before returning to Eindhoven.
Liege is an interesting city. It had a very bizarre feel to it, couldn't put my finger on it, it was just bizarre, and a bit restless.
From there went south a bit into the hills just south of the city. Found a WW1 fort named Claudfontaine. It is no longer open to tourists, but I asked some of the people there, if I could wander on the grounds a bit, and they obliged. Here are some pics from there:
view from where the main turret would have been

Ask-again-would I see this in Cleveland? (BTB-this is the money shot for the monthly wallpaper)

Heel Goed weer in Maastricht!

A parc in the just south of Maastricht, i didn't pet the horse, it almost ran me over though.
